Eye Care Training for Community Leaders

In rural Bangladesh, community leaders have great influence on rural people. Our partner utilizes their influence to provide awareness to the entire community about the importance of regular eye care

Training teaches community leaders about primary eye care, different eye diseases, identification of cataract, and preventive measures of different eye diseases. Community leaders spread awareness in rural areas and patients with any symptoms are then referred to our team and provided with treatment free of charge.

Our partner in Bangladesh says; "For someone living in poverty in Bangladesh, the impact of blindness can be extremely disastrous. Restoring sight to people is not just about giving them the opportunity to see. If someone is unable to work, they could be at risk of not being able to properly support their families, both physically and financially."
