Hart's tongue fern
Asplenium scolopendrium. Loads of these growing all along the lane, tucked into the banks.
'Hart's tongue' because it is supposed to be the same shape as a deer's tongue.
On this one you can see the sori underneath the leaves where the spores are made. People thought they looked like centipedes' legs and scolopendrium is Latin for centipede!
