Seafood platter

Waders all along the shore
The tide at bay
The wind low
The sun climbing slowly
Showering warmth.
Food lurking in the shells and under the stones
And weed of the sea,
And plenty of lugworms emerging.

A gorgeous day. Tom and I walked into town, saw the Red is Hot exhibition at Beach Creative then meandered along to Berry's Eatery for seafood platters and some glasses of wine, before heading back along the beach. No sign of the kestrel but here's a little turnstone instead, trying to decide what to eat first. The little pile of sand to the left is where a lugworm has crept out.
