Half full or half empty?

This was taken first thing this morning. I was sitting at my desk looking up the prices of flying lessons (which are not cheap) when I spied a glass with water in it and for whatever reason I decided to take a shot of my keyboard through it. The picture looked really bright on the small screen and as I could not work out how to turn the flash off I thought I would cover the flash with my finger. The result is this picture.

The camera is a nikon coolpix L2 we bought as a backup for our studio camera.
