Ready for the Long Trip Home

The final morning of our California adventure. We grabbed an opportunity to have lunch with a former work colleague of Annie's. A lovely restaurant very close to the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco was our destination and a quick taxi ride got us there without issue and we enjoyed a couple of hours catching up including a short walk in the park (which interestingly was designed by the same chap who designed Central Park in New York).

Too soon it was back to the hotel and the shuttle bus to the airport. With plenty of time to spare, we all indulged with a bit of late shopping before it really was time to go. A few shots were grabbed from the airport as the sun bgan to set (incluing today's blip).

Followers of our blips will know that the journey's out for both of us were more eventful than planned so it was a relief that after a very short delay to sort an air conditioning "issue", we were off. It would be Monday by the time we landed.
