Angels of the North (2014.054)

Seems a bit odd to drive 100 miles due South to view something "of the North", but there you go, it's all relative I suppose.

I've driven past the Angel several times on the A1 and have marvelled at the engineering required to keep it upright in a strong wind. When we visited, the wind certainly was that, and yet the Angel remained implacable.

Underneath, some angels of my own, beating hasty retreat back to the car.
