The old lighthouse, Scarborough, North Yorkshire
The old lighthouse in Scarborough South Bay basked in the evening light tonight. Built in the 18th Century, the lighthouse stands on Vincent’s Pier, named after its engineer, William Vincent. The permanent brick structure was paid for by many of the vessels entering the harbour.
