The Valley of the Rocks
Today we have been to Exmoor - the spectacular north Devon coast, with the highest sea cliffs in England, is a very long drive from Plymouth, so we never go there. Today was a first for us, and it was worth the journey.
This is the vertiginous coastal path near Lynton - not for the faint-hearted! The scenery is beyond breathtaking though. After an excellent lunch in Lynton we took the funicular railway down to Lynmouth, all part of a 21 mile scenic drive that I didn't realise would involve numerous 25% hills, single track roads with sheer drops to one side and lots of fords? Glad I wasn't driving...
I will put some shots on Flickr and post a link later.
Now snuggled up in bed looking forward to a lie in tomorrow.
