Long day at work today where I almost ran out of energy at 5pm but crested a huge sugar wave thanks to 3 Thorntons chocs and a flapjack which almost got me through evening surgery.

My parents are away for ages now, they are Rotarians and are helping raise publicity in an area in India so that people send their children for their Polio vaccine. I am really proud that they spend a large chunk of their time helping so many worthwhile charities through Rotary. The only snag being that they do my childcare when I'm at work! My lovely sister took a holiday day from work today to help me out. I got home to a happy sleepy house, the girls had loved 'aunty' time. Tanya made this bread pudding for our pud today and it was incredible. Bread pudding is one of my all time tip top favourite puddings, I think Tanya's is the best I've ever eaten (she's in the background tucking into hers, balancing a huge pot of cream on the sofa arm, telling me all the ways she went off-plan with the recipe. This is slanderous to me as I am a slave to recipes, hence Tanya's is the best bread pudding ever, having been made with flair)
