Hellish Journey

Got up and said our goodbyes as were the only people heading north to Bangkok. The ferry terminal was absolutely chaos and after a while we were on the correct boat heading to Surat Thani for the next part of our journey.

We arrived and were herded onto the next available bus to take us the short 2 hour bus journey to the train station!! We had about4 hours to wait so settled down in a cafe and used the free internet and had some food. It was time for the train and just before we were about to board we were told it was delayed 4 hours!! The only option was to get another train but not the sleeper one with bed. This journey was absolutely horrible and was so uncomfortable we could not sleep for the 10 hour duration.
