Gold Bunny
When Mum and Dad lived in a retirement unit I purchased a standard rose called Gold Bunny for their small garden. I chose this one because it is easy to grow and has masses of flowers, not as perfect in shape as the hybrid tea rose but prolific and bright. Just before they left I was pruning the rose and took the last of the flowers inside. Mum put the rose in a glass of water on the window sill and there it sat until we were surprised to find it had grown roots.
We planted the cutting out and now it has pride of place in my front yard. It didn't enjoy hot summer this year as I had recently moved it from it's pot, but now it is going ahead in leaps and bounds.
