Flower Bower

Her Ladyship has a colourful walk to get to her bed at the end of the path. The marigolds attract the bumblebees into the greenhouse. The vibration of their wings helps to fertilise the tomato flowers, so I'm told. They were a cheerful sight on this cold, gloomy day. I took this before I picked the tomatoes, which sadly, have lost much of their flavour due to the low overnight temperatures. A bit like storing them in a fridge. Last week the overnight temperatures were so high that cucumbers and beans kept growing in the night. What a strange summer this is.
