Newcomers

Almost at the fag-end of the birding season and the total tally of the census of waterbirds including migratory birds announced by the Wildlife Wing of Forest Department, Govt. of Manipur.

However, these newcomers suddenly appear out of nowhere around the Loktak lake area. It's reported to be the first visit of these black beauties. They are big, calm and fly in groups making an awesome sound from their wings flapping in unison.

Hope they'd stay longer and come every year.
