Bearing down on trespassers.....
Before all else, many thanks to you all for all the lovely comments, stars and hearts yesterday. I am so thrilled as my flying buck made it into the spotlight - the first time I have ever managed that! It is still there....just!
This morning was a dull affair weather wise - quite different from yesterday. However, there was enough wildlife in the park to keep me busy for a bit. It was so soggy after all the rain last night, so I was relieved that I did not have to employ the Max method of approaching the deer.
I had seen a pair of swans flying from the Diana Fountain area toward the Leg of Mutton Pond. There is a resident pair of swan on that pond, but they were up towards the Heron pond when I got there. Suddenly I saw them advancing towards their pond at great speed, they climbed out, waddled across the bridge into their pond then took off at a rate, and chased the trespassing swans who beat a hasty retreat.
I was taken by surprise, in the wrong place, wrong settings on the camera etc ( Duh!), but managed this capture!
There are a few more of my images HERE.
Thank you all once again - enjoy the rest of your day.
