Bygone days
This is a view, taken from the gardens of the Donkin reserve, of part of the King Edward hotel. About 120 years old, it was a grand hotel where I have fond memories of Sunday lunches with a huge and delicious variety of dishes to choose from, and end of year dinner dances. Sadly it is now standing empty, hoping for a buyer to restore it to it original elegance.
I loved this view with the gathering clouds....sadly they brought no rain!
