Looking not unlike the description of the gaseous creatures that inhabit Jupiter's atmosphere in Arthur C. Clarke's eponymous 1971 novella, a lone altocumulus cloud catches the light of the setting Sun on tendrils of virga falling earthward - veils of precipitation that evaporate before reaching the ground.
