Resurfacing

Just as I feel I am about to re-surface after winter's battering and blustering, the High Street is being resurfaced! It normally has setts, or stones, like this. Now, though, tarmac seems to be being laid. Watch this space!

It is overdue for resurfacing, the top end in particular has been very uneven. A middle section was hastily laid down in March 2012, when the council had some money to spend before the end of the financial year. However, the black tarmac flecked with yellow chips of stone was deeply unpopular, and eventually replaced in 2013. What will the new-look High Street be like?
