home sweet home

settling into their new house today. it was meant to take 3 hours to build - it took my in-laws 3 days. the poor souls, i'd have given up long ago.

the kids love it through, cbeebies was not even mentioned after school and they played in it until it got dark. i was doing a bit of gardening for a bit again too. starting to look forward to spring now.

also, laurie's tantrums have settled down a treat, now that i've remembered how to deal with them. it's funny, since i've been a bit stressed out (recently partly due himself), i forgot what to do and it's one of those things - when you are deep in the middle of a situation, you can't see a way out. it was on the way back from mum and dad's, when i'd had a little break, that i suddenly remembered how i used to deal with it. and now i'm feeling more calm already.
