Snow frames

The snow has stopped falling, the sun has come out and our view of Vancouver Island has returned. Very welcome it is.

Today was spent shovelling snow from our driveway. In the process we met our neighbour and had a long chat over coffee. Then he came by with his four wheel drive to drive around our driveway so as to help clear the snow. And to get to play with the four wheel drive - which he's hardly ever needed to use.

The driveway is clear but our road is still impassable - at least without a four wheel drive. We have an electric vehicle - a Nissan Leaf - and I don't know how it would cope in the snow. It's got the power but not the clearance. The snow is still pretty deep up here. Tomorrow promises warmer weather and the melt should continue - releasing us from our prison!
