Silent Night

Walked in home after my weekly late shift....

To hear Mauz in conversation with my brother via Skype.

Subsequently arranged a weekend rendezvous.

With another fun family couple in Pete and Sue.

So heading for the "big smoke".... in 10 days.

In the slang sense.... not the literal!

Means their Richmond abode in Melbourne.... not their country hacienda in Traralgon!

Where one of the nearby open-cut coal mines in Morwell has been burning for weeks.

Slowly succeeding... but fire fighters in a long battle to extinguish this very nasty blaze....

Constantly filling the local atmosphere with a heavy pall of smoke.

Back to tonight's blip!

By this time....darkness had set in and the wind had subsided.

Had to get out my trusty flash......
