CRAWL TAKE THREE.....hic!
Wharfedale Brewery was established in Wetherby in 1765 before closing after 200 years. The name reappeared for four years in Grassington in 2003 before being resurrected again down stream in Ilkley in 2012.
In a barn at the back of the Flying Duck built as a farmhouse in 1709, Wharfedale Brewery was brought back to life once more and resulted in brewing returning to Ilkley town centre for the first time in over 100 years. the new Wharfedale Brewery currently consists of a 2.5 brewers barrel plant and 2 fermenters giving a weekly capacity of 180 gallons or 1440 pints of beer.
