With the long walkers
The day dawned fine and sunny. By the time we gathered to walk it was raining and it rained on and off all day. I came home wet and very muddy, but delighted because I completed 8.3 miles. That's the longest walk I've done recently and I'm building up to my target of 13 miles.
This spot is on Hadrian's Wall Trail, just above Hangman's Hill. There are a lot of gorse bushes and it's easy to get out of the wind for lunch. The walkers are used to me asking for photos. I shout cheerily, they wave and some smile, then they get on with their lunch again. Some are not detered from eathing.
I think we were 20 out today.
Off to attend a photographic group in Bellingham tonight - new to me and it will be interesting to see who is there and what they do.
