Victorian Teacher

A cold day again with a dry morning but rain and sleet showers in the afternoon.

One school visit to the museum today and a book launch on tonight which I'll miss due to work in the pub later.

The school visit today was looking at Victorian life in Shetland. A tour around the museum with Paul and then into the Victorian style classroom with Mr Christie aka me :) I get dressed up and act like a real Victorian teacher, strict with my strap at the ready (I do only hit the table and not the bairns lol), they say prayers, hand and nail checks, write on slate and also with real ink. Woops, I made one pupil cry today and another tremble with fear, this is unusual as most bairns love it :) Taken at tehShetland Museum.
