Meet our future

The future is almost with us. And its robots.

Well, I have had a studio day and begun researching a new project inspired by robots.

And its scary.


Its all about the melding of man ( or woman) and machine.

Google is now the most powerful company on earth and they have been on an enormous spending spree buying up all companies dealing in robotics and artificial intelligence.

It has just bought the cutting-edge British artificial intelligence start-up, DeepMind for £400m., not bad for a company that only came into existence in 2011.

Incidentally part of that deal was that Google set up an ethics board to look at what machine learning will mean when its in the hands of the most powerful company on the planet.

I have yet to see the film Her, set in the near future where a man falls in love with his computer.
