Firelight

Such a nasty, wet, cold day today, but the nice thing was an unexpected visit from a school friend to see me in the shop. She comes over from Durham to see her mum but rarely has time to call in.

I was frozen as I travelled home. Brolly was many miles away in Edinburgh and Barbour hood had come unpoppered and couldn't be found this morning.

As soon as I got in I lit the stove for the first time this season. So now I'm cosy, I'm warm, I have a nice glass of Chilean Merlot, but I'm very tired and when I finish the drink I'm off for an early night.
