Centre Pompidou

An early start was had by all this morning in an endeavour to beat the queues at Eiffel Tower. E, K and I climbed approximately 800 steps to the second floor before taking the lift to enjoy the views of Paris from the top.

We then visited Arc de Triomphe and La Defense before heading to La Marais for lunch at Bagel Market.

The afternoon was spent wandering around the Centre Pompidou, one of my most entertaining experiences of viewing modern and contemporary art.

We had a feast of bread, cheese, charcuterie and wine in our apartment for dinner before resuming last night’s card game.
