Spring has Sprung
What a lovely day today has been, despite a very unsettled night with Little Miss E and her coughing (which included me walking her in the garden at 11pm wrapped in blankets to clear airways) she was as right as rain this morning, waking me up at 6 with Jammies and wellies announcing she was going for a run this afternoon!
So once Munchkin 1 was safely deposited at school, we had a quick turn around at home packed a bag with camera and snacks and off we went to the Wild Place Conservation Project. Its a great place for kids, jammed packed with sensory experiences. If your looking for animals this isn't the place for you, if you have no imagination, this also isn't the place for you, but its a great place for me and the kiddies to go exploring. Little Miss E was a trooper today despite her coughing, she walked and explored for at least two hours on her little legs, which included me desperate to capture the tower which is in the middle of a huge meadow, telling her it was a princess tower. It was a thoroughly jolly day out and I struggled to pick just one for my Blip today. But Ive gone for something I don't normally do as I thought they were like little diamonds in the rough, peeping through to say "hello is it time to wake up yet?" Some of the other images you can see here Meadow Tower.
I managed another 6 mile interval session tonight and this time it went well. I even got the old legs out in running shorts, fooled by the sunshine of today! I apologise for dazzling any drivers with their sheer whiteness from lack of winter exposure.
Munckin 1 is doing his astronomy badge at Cubs so he has been out in the garden tonight star gazing, then immersed himself in one of my astronomy apps on the tablet.
have a good night all!
