A habit

While teaching writing or speaking, teachers always underline the importance of brainstorming and outlining. I think it has
become a habit affecting my life. Whenever I want to write something or get ready for a talk, I need to frame the ideas first to be
able to see the overall picture
clearly. It is definitely very advantageous but it sometimes takes too much time. This got me thinking. Should we always act according to our
plans? What will happen if they go wrong?
