In The Occupied Territory

Hip to be square

When is a square not a square?
When it is an oval.
This severely processed image is the relief over the arched entrance to a Rosemount Square. It is an apartment block of not particularly desirable council housing.

It is a very, splendid, 1930's Art Deco building which, in another time/place would be redeveloped into expensive city centre apartments.
It is built, as I stated, in an oval with an arch at the bottom and one in the left and right sides near the top. Traffic can only enter via the bottom one. And the majority of the enclosed centre area is fenced off for kids play areas.
