Keep calm and knit on!
Yes I am knitting!
Saying it out loud makes me feel really boring.
But for me knitting is about much more than knitting itself.
I am a quitter, I never finish what I start: tennis, guitar, piano, and so on...
I hate that about myself! I have had the idea to knit a scarf ever since I was little. My grandma learned me how to knit when I was six years old and I loved it. During lunchbreak I'd always go to her house and we'd knit. I think I began knitting a scarf for at least 20 times. But because I didn't follow through with it so I was left with about 20 set up scarves.
Last week I got the urge to start knitting again, and I made myself a promise not to quit.
This time I am knitting a scarf! I don't care if it takes me a year!
Today I went to buy some wool and knitting needles, and this picture is my progress so far (I think it's probably the largest 'scarf' I have ever made - which says a lot about all the others).
Knitting also makes me think of Grey's Anatomy. For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about :Meredith Grey and Izzy Stevens start to knit when Meredith has sworn off all men. Izzy thinks she'll never finish a sweater (or at least not a decent one) so she's planning to replace hers with Meredith's so she has a nice sweater.
That was just something that popped up in my head while I was writing this so there you go!
Question of the day: Name one item you can't throw out.
