Roland Garros

One of the public gardens in the centre of Roissy is dedicated to the history of aviation. There are sculptures, aircraft parts and pictures of aviators on display. I stopped in front of the one from Mr. Roland Garros whose name is probably better known for the French tennis tournament but who was also the first person to cross the Mediterranean sea by air in 1913, as per Wikipedia article.
