Le Bol

Work today so back to favourite household items! This bowl was one of eight that we bought in France when on a cycling holiday in Gascony about 10 years ago. It's hard to capture in a photo but the colours are earthy, vibrant and captivating. There were 4 green and blue ones that looked as if they'd been made by mermaids, they were my favourite. We had cycled to a tiny fortified village that now showcased arts and crafts when I saw the pottery shop. As we were on our way to the next hotel I had to wait until the end of our holiday and back at base hotel before mark and I set out with empty panniers to spend every penny we had on them. There's only 2 left which is a shame as everything tastes better out of one of these bowls.
