Running in the city

I am fortunate to have some really lovely routes where I can run. Parks, paths separated from the inner city traffic (usually shared with cyclists), and at times some magnificent views of the city or the harbour.

This morning, the view that appealed, is of the city, especially the Sky Tower. In silhouette. With the sun having only just risen, and shining through strands of cloud. The sky burnt orange.

Shortly after this photo, I took another which is essentially the lower right quarter of this picture. After failing to wipe off a bit of dust on the computer screen, I looked more carefully. It was one of the large passenger jets from the west coast of the US. They must have enjoyed magnificent views as they approached the city. Provided their vision is better than mine!
