Birds of a Feather

I realised today that I must have dropped the cap off my lens the other night when I blipped the river from the bridge, so I went up there tonight to see if I could find it.
I did! It had been run over a few times by the look of it but still works!

Then I saw the pelicans, I called out "don't go away" (crazy) as I scampered back to the car to grab my camera. Luckily I still had the little zoom attached, it gave me some confidence that I would get a shot.
I was there for ages just watching them, they are fascinating birds, they go to the storm water outlet here to feed.
They were lucky tonight - and so was I.
