Welcome.
Today we had a nice run out in the car. First we went to the beach at Allonby, then to visit G's parents and finally to Wasdale Head. I've lived in Cumbria for over 25 years and this was only my 2nd visit to Wastwater and my 1st to Wasdale Head! We went in search of something for a friend that we didn't find but we did have a nice time looking around.
The tiny church at Wasdale Head is hidden in the yew trees and worth a quick visit to see the graves and memorials to those who gave died on the surrounding mountains. It is plain inside unlike many churches and cathedrals and it has a nice feel. I'm not religious at all but I could imagine sitting and contemplating there, very peaceful.
