The flashman contrasted vividly with the grey green surroundings of Yorkshire gritstone and I thought the effect was enhanced with the use of black and white. The sharp vertical force of the enormous chimney seems to marry well with the shock effect of vertical fluorescence - but opinions may well vary on this!

I am finding as I walk around with a camera, sometimes lingering in anticipation for passing human life, that odd visually interesting events seem to occur. For example, today, I came round a corner and saw a young teenager with a pork pie hat kneeling on the pavement with a 1950s large tin toy lorry trying to push it along. As this was on a normal pavement in the town centre it seemed extremely incongruous. But my card was full. The moment lost for the camera at least.
