Pretty spurge
As I was having to attend an after work meeting today I had to have a quick scout round the science block to see what I could find to blip!
There was plenty of this little plant growing round and about, so I picked a small piece, taking great care not to get the white, milky and very irritant sap on my hand.
I recognised it a spurge instantly from the shape of the branching leaves and starry green flowers, and Historian31 said it may be petit spurge.
He was so nearly right as it is in fact Pretty spurge Euphorbia peplus, a common weed in the UK.
Common it might be, but I think the tiny starry flowers are very beautiful. I love it and hope you do too.....
