Aurora over Edinburgh

I have been very lucky in the past to see a stunning display of the Aurora Borealis in the far north of Norway although you do kind of expect it up there. What you don't often expect is to see a display like this over the skies of a large city in Scotland! I can't fail to be impressed by the lights whenever I see them and I do have to confess that there were one or two expletives of pleasure as the lights became clearly visible to the naked eye and started to spike!
