Static hail
My morning was spent writing management proposals for a site I visited last week. By lunchtime I'd had enough and decided to go and prepare some minestrone soup. While I was chopping the vegetables there was a short, sharp hail shower, dramatically lit by bright sunlight. I grabbed the camera and took a few shots at different settings - Alex and I liked this rather abstract monochrome best.
This afternoon I was invited to a small gathering to celebrate a friend's 60th birthday. Wine and carrot cake were a decadent treat on a cold February afternoon, and it was good to catch up with all the neighbours' news. I'm so lucky to live in such a friendly area!!
