The worse aurora picture you will ever see.

I reckon that the two of us are lucky to be alive.

There was a massive aurora borealis display right overhead and it went on for bloomin' ages. Gail and I were standing out in the garden shivering, as our core body temperatures leeched out of us, but completely transfixed. It arced across the sky from horizon to horizon, flowing like a thousand rhythmic gymnasts racing over us, twirling their ribbons like erratic dervishes. At it's peak, parts of it glowed bright red.

There's less of it now, but it's still there. I look forward to seeing how many other people, the sort that unlike me know how to use a camera, have captured it. And done a lot less pants job at it!
