A watery path

This is Tavistock Canal which runs through part of the town. It was constructed early in the 19th century to link the town of Tavistock to Morwellham Quay on the River Tamar, where cargo could be loaded into ships. Today no boats use it. It's decline came when the railways came to Tavistock in 1859.
It looked like some green oasis today, you would never believe there was a biting arctic wind & at this point it was raining heavily - again! Had a good day with my friend Sue, as we always do! Then I came back to her farm & went to check on the expectant mothers, like Chrissie here:
