Change of scene ...

A return to my old stamping grounds today, as we emerged from the excellent La Parmigiana after a long and delicious lunch with my cousin and his wife. Great Western Road and Byres Road used to be the axes of my social life in my schooldays (Hillhead Primary and Hillhead High Schools) and University years (Glasgow Uni); I rehearsed with the New Consort of Voices in a house nearby and met Mr B there; I began my teaching career in Woodside Secondary, just along the road.
