Fife Energy Park, Buckhaven
We saw a female King Eider distantly at Fidra in Lothian at the start of the year, but with the hope of closer views I headed for Ruddon's Point. Viewing conditions weren't exactly ideal. Drizzle, wind, choppy sea, spray. Plenty of Eiders, but none that ticked the King Eider box. Retreated back to the car for a dry out and decide what to do next. Then the sun came out, the wind dropped, so walked back to the point to hopefully get better views. Got the better views, but still didn't get the King Eider. Still RCB's got a nice pair of Common Scoter for you.
Headed back via Buckhaven, home of the Fife Energy Park. They make some big stuff there, my guess is this is a wave turbine thingy.
