Rising damp

I've not walked up Edinburgh's Holyrood Road for a couple of weeks. Passing today, in the pouring rain, I was struck - not literally, happily - by a couple of Babel-like towers which have sprung up. More and more huge buildings are appearing on both sides of the road, blocking the light, and views of the Old Town- it's like we're being gobbled up by the university. Scary.
