Hoover Dam

Today we first went to Boulder City. Our plans were to visit a favorite shop and poke around some of the other antique stores. So we went and found that our favorite store is closed for remodeling. Sigh. But we walked around anyhow and ate lunch in Milo's Cellar, a wine shop, espresso bar and cafe. The lunch was delicious.

From there we drove up to the new bridge above Hoover Dam. There is a place where you can climb up to the bridge and walk along a pedestrian walk next to the road, facing the dam. What a view! I took this one with my super wide angle lens. Fantastic.

Next we drove over the dam and went beyond to a couple of additional lookout points.

Now we are home for our mid afternoon relaxation time. Steve and I are about to play Carcassonne and Helena and Arvin are napping. This evening we'll be taking pizza over to Emmett and Jen's for everybody's dinner. And well get to see those two kiddos again too.
