Ellerslie Flower Show

This garden was designed by someone who fled to North Hagley Park after our big earthquake, when it became a refuge for many people.

This exhibit is titled 'Under My Umbrella", and it is part of the Ellerslie Flower Show, which is held each year in North Hagley Park in late summer.

The umbrella canopy reflects the coming together of complete strangers to offer support and shelter in times of adversity.
