Over the rainbow

I've never seen an actual rainbow as a child.

Skyscrapers reign in my birth city where every inch of land is a premium. We could only see patches of blue in between the buildings that are so tall they seem to threaten to touch the sky. To me, wide, unobstructed views of the sky is out of reach unless we drove to the into the suburbs.

This is the first time I see a complete rainbow that spans the entire horizon.

I learned not to take seemingly small things for granted.
