Night Fever

Another evening out on night patrol with OMD.

Was hoping whilst out to have a clear sky, as tonight is the beginning of the Leonid shower and as far as I am aware the best night to see them. If you are a mad night owl then staying up till about 5 in the morning is round about the best concentration time. I remember as a student walking back from Stirling uni during the shower and was just amazed at the concentration flying past on some occassions it felt like they were close enough almost to hit me.

Apparently, the chap that first discovered the Leonid shower was a big Star Trek fan (that doesnt surprise me!) and he named it after his favourite actor Leonid Nimoy the bloke who plays Mr Spock. Thanks again wikipedia I would be thick without you.

Well happy star gazing people of the world, except Scotland as it is bloody chucking it down as usual.
