Trip to Amsterdam today for some books. The university library there has some of the most nifty technology I've ever seen. In order to take them home I had to place the books I'd picked out on a plain looking table. So I put down the books - in a pile, as asked by the accompanying screen - and instantly a list pops up telling me exactly which titles are there.
My mouth still hangs open as I'm prompted for a receipt. I love it when they invent some modern gizmo that actually works without any hickups.
