The joys of Spring.

A very cold day had been forecast, yet we were blessed with a cold, blue skied sunny morning and it is still nice in the early afternoon.
I attended an Alpha Course with some Christian friends.
It was very enjoyable and there were scones and cake and a cup of tea or coffee.
In the film, Nicky Gumbel, who is the pastor who started these Alpha courses, spoke of the power of prayer and how Jesus can tansform lives.
He gave listeners an aid to memory but said there is no set form for prayer and just speak to Jesus from your heart.
The letters ACTS can be helpful, Adoration, Confession of any sins, Thanksgiving, and Supplication prayers asking God for help for family, friends or your own needs.
God listens to our prayers, but we need to perserve and may not always get the answer quickly. God is the Divine Intelligence in all life and knows our needs better than we do!
Prayer involves patience and trust.
I went for a blip walk after the course, and found a wealth of Spring beauty.
The top right photo is in Cut Wood, the little childrens' play area where Greg and Maria enjoyed going on the swings and slides as small children.
There is a willow tunnel there too but not visible in that shot.
